Safety Advice

Erentservice.com is an Internet platform connecting property owners, agents, and customers for the rental business. But users are strongly urged to take precautions before they engage in any deal. Below are some safety tips (not meant as an exhaustive list). Judgment must always be exercised; trust your instincts and be cautious.

1. Erentservice.com Does Not Give Buyer Protection
Erentservice.com is not involved in buying, selling, or renting, nor does it operate as a middleman or broker. Like newspaper classifieds, ads are all put up by users for the sole purpose of information. Such users are accountable for their content and their actions. We do not verify, guarantee, or endorse any listing, nor are we held liable for damages or losses incurred by the use of our platform.

2. Fraud Awareness & Scams
Never accept content in ads or pictures as true without question. Ask questions and clear doubts before agreeing to anything. Watch out for:

·         Ads posted by users with incomplete contact details, unverified mobile numbers, or just phone numbers visible in the description.

·         Ads asking for advance payments without delivery or inspection.

·         Ads promising abnormally high returns; offers of jobs or financial opportunities that are too good to be true (e.g., foreign jobs, visa and migration services, lottery wins, high-return investment schemes).

·         Ads selling goods at prices that are suspiciously low, which are likely to be stolen or counterfeit. In doubt, ask for proof of ownership like purchase receipts and warranty cards.

·         Ads offering fake or knock-off products. Always remember: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't."

3. Meet in Person & Public Places
While transacting on Erentservice, there is every chance that you are meeting someone for the first time. For safety:

  • Know your tryst partner (inquire into their profession and place of work, or ask for some sort of ID, such as a citizenship card or driving license).
  • Meet in a public place (café, restaurant, office, or shop).
  • Carry a cell phone and, if possible, bring a friend. Give some family member or friend details about where you are going and whom you are meeting.
  • Do not meet at your place or in some isolated area. If at any point, you feel uncomfortable, just terminate the meeting.

4. Examine the property or product into the smallest detail.
Do not pay for anything before thorough inspections. Do not be hasty. But if you feel that you would need someone to help you through the inspection, go ahead.

At least for major transactions, make sure to meet the sellers. Meet and inspect the deal, then opt for digital payments (IME Pay, eSewa, Khalti, ConnectIPS, or bank transfers) over cash payment. Always inquire if the seller accepts your mode of payment.

5. Familiarize Yourself with Try and Avoid Non-Face-to-Face Transactions!
Erentservice is a local platform, and so we encourage face-to-face dealings whenever possible. If you have to go ahead without meeting, pay through bank transfer and keep full documentation (deposit slips, screenshots, receipts, etc.). Never give cash or pay through remitter services. Sellers can only send goods/services after receiving full payment.

6. Report Frauds or Suspicious Activities
Fraudulent or suspicious advertisements may be reported to us at:

In case of fraud or illegal activities, first, contact local law enforcement authorities and then come to us for assistance.
